i had to do a paper on ancient civilizataions around the huang he and the yangtze
basically the chinese which i know all about
but ancient? ancient can be considered 4000 BC or 2000 BC but definitely not AD
I mean, she was teaching about the neolithic and paleolithic age
which is like, caveman time
so i wasnt sure what time period to do
so i actually talked to her and she recommended me to do my report on the 1st dynasty which is 2000BC-1600 BC
well, there isnt much info on it, since its old and it wasnt even considered a dynasty untill recently, many ppl assumed it as a myth but now they know
so i did a page on it, which is expected
*adriana had the same topic as me and she wrote 1 page as well*
so progress reports came out
and i have a D minus
wtf, ive nvr failed a class before
i asked her what i got on the paper and she says i got a D
her first reason was, oh, its short and it just sounds like u copied stuff out of the textbook
well, thats what adriana told me she did along with other sources
I actually borrowed a book all about asia from kite and she was the one who told me to take some notes from it
when i pointed this out, she went on and bitched about me not having enough information
i told her that i did have information, but not on the first dynasty
she ws the one who told me to do it on the first dynasty and i was afraid if i went further, she would count off points
i researched a whole load of crap but in the end, only about a third qualified as 1st dynasty material
so i just did what she told me and finish a good sized report on just life during
then, she went on and on about, why didnt u talk about china being exposed only to the outside world for only 200 hundred years and is now very developed....she asked me why i didnt talk about all these events that hapened to chian in that last 2 thousand years...

she TOLD me to write it on the 1st dynasty, she told me to write about the ancient civilization and then complains that i dont have stuff from the last 2000 years???? anythign AD is NOT ancient civilizations, she was talking the whole time about ancient and ppl working with stone tools and all of a sudden she expected me to have done information on the past thousand years????
just fucking bullshit because china already had civilizations in 4000 bc, 1st dynasty was already a stretch
what the fuck was her problem, she knows nothign about history
i mean, she accuses me of not knowing things, not researching when i fucking know more than she does
and i AM chinese!!! after 6 years of watching my mom's soap operas staged in the old dynasties, i do know about ancient chinese culture
probably not 1st dynasty stuff, but i know enough
she also dictates student organisation, i honestly dont believe teachers should control where we put our homework, which side pocket a paper goes on and shit like that
she gave me an f on my folder because i didnt have dividers
thats bull becasue everyoen has their own system, teachers shouldnt force students to do thigns their way
she is the worst teacher ive ever had, old and stupid and has no idea what we're teaching
we were talking about egypt and persia today and someone mentions the middle kingdom, she says, guys , dont skip from persia and egypt to china, other ppl wont be able to follow....

egypt had old, middle, and new kingdom eras and she thought we were dumb becaoz she thought we were talking about china
sure china means "middle kingdom" but she was the one off topic
maybe she just plain hates me even though im always polite to teachers
also, today she stamped everyones hw and completely "forgot" mine
she walked 2 inches from my desk and stamped the homework of the girl's next to me
it took her untill someone noticed me with my hand up and had to yell to get her attention that she forgot mine
everyones been telling me to just suck up to her and she will give me an A
well, im not like that
i dont want to get a good grade out of favoritism
so am i being overly dramatic or is this woman senile? |
